Procurement Purchasing Manager (Korean Bilingual Required)
Timpl has partnered with a global battery company that is currently looking for a Procurement Purchasing Manager
Key Responsibilities:
1. Material Procurement
- Identify, source, and purchase raw materials, components, and equipment required for ESS Pack production.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms, prices, and lead times.
- Ensure that all materials meet quality standards and specifications.
2. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and track material usage.
- Manage stock rotation and ensure materials are stored safely and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory turnover and minimize excess stock to reduce storage costs.
3. Supply Chain Coordination
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve supply chain issues to avoid production delays.
- Plan and coordinate material requirements in accordance with production schedules.
4. Order Management & Documentation- Prepare purchase orders, track order status, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of materials purchased, costs, and delivery schedules.
- Support the creation of reports on material costs, stock levels, and supplier performance.
5. Cost Control & Supplier Relationship Management
- Monitor and manage the budget for material procurement to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure continued quality and service.
???????- Conduct supplier audits and evaluations to ensure compliance with quality standards and contract terms.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience in purchasing, materials management, or supply chain operations, preferably in manufacturing or electronics, strong customs experience.
- Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Knowledge of procurement processes, material planning, and inventory control.
• Familiarity with quality standards and supply chain management best practices. - Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Languages: English proficiency (written and verbal) is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a battery, automotive, or electronics manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and just-in-time inventory. - Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, ISM) is a plus. - Ability to work in a bilingual environment (Korean/English).
