IT Analyst 

Timpl has partnered with a global mobility company and is seeking for a IT Analyst 


Responsibilities

(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

 

MES Development & Implementation

  • Design, develop, and implement MES solutions to support manufacturing operations.
  • Customize and configure MES applications to meet specific business requirements.
  • Integrate MES with other enterprise systems (ERP, PLM, etc.).

IT Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide technical support for MES applications, diagnosing and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage helpdesk tickets related to MES, ensuring prompt resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot network and system-related problems affecting MES, offering solutions to minimize downtime.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

  • Manage and execute regular backups of MES data to safeguard critical information.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery plans for MES to ensure business continuity in case of system failures or data loss.

System Updates & Patching

  • Regularly update and patch MES applications and software to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.
  • Ensure compatibility with new software and hardware deployments.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain clear and accurate records of MES systems, configurations, and network topologies.
  • Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference.
  • Provide regular reports on MES performance, security status, and ongoing issues.

Process Improvement & Optimization

  • Identify areas for improvement in MES processes and workflows to enhance system efficiency and productivity.
  • Proactively suggest and implement solutions to improve MES performance, scalability, and security.

Collaboration & Project Support

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support MES initiatives, software deployments, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of MES projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business goals.

Qualifications

(The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position).

 

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in MES development and systems integration.
  • Hands-on experience with various MES platforms and manufacturing processes in Manufacturing.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of MES components, including servers, storage, and networking devices.
  • Familiarity with system monitoring tools and network management software.
  • Proficiency in CS program (e.g., C# or similar).

Preferred Education & Experience

  • More than 3 years of experience in MES development within an automotive part or manufacturing corporation.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and Korean).
