Timpl has partnered with a global manufacturing company to hire a Physical Security Senior Specialist


Summary:

The Physical Security Senior Specialist is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and oversight of physical security systems, protocols, and programs that protects the company’s physical and information assets. This role will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and maintain a secure working environment across all facilities and operations. The ideal candidate brings strategic vision and hands-on expertise in corporate physical security management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain physical security protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), emergency response plans, and compliance programs.
  • Oversee the deployment, operation and maintenance of physical security systems including access control and video surveillance.
  • Conduct physical security risk assessments, audits, and site evaluations to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and investigate security incidents, and develop detailed reports with corrective action recommendations.
  • Provide strategic oversight and execution of physical security operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve physical security best practices.
  • Lead internal security training programs and awareness campaigns to educate employees.
  • Manage third-party security service providers, ensuring performance, contract compliance, and alignment with company standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local security regulations.
  • Conduct internal security audits and inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of current security measures and ensure ongoing compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Support and coordinate responses to external audits or regulatory reviews, providing required documentation, facilitating site access, and addressing findings in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Management Information Systems, Computer Science.
  • Advanced certifications or a master’s degree preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of integrated security systems, including access control, CCTV, and visitor management platforms
  • Proven ability to develop and execute physical security strategies across multiple buildings and departments
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and ISO 27001
  • Ability to work flexible hours, respond to incidents, and travel as needed

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in physical security, information security, and/or information technology
  • 1-3+ years of experience in production technology related job preferred but not required

  • Excellent conflict resolution and de-scalation tactics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organizational and multitasking skills
