Timpl has partnered with a global leader in lithium-ion battery manufacturing and is seeking for an Employee Relations Specialist
About the Role
As a Employee Relations Specialist, you will independently provide high level professional analysis, consultation, coaching and training to campus clients on organizational development, strategic planning, policy and regulatory compliance, interpretation and application of labor contracts, and resolution of workplace problems under the direction of the HQ's Employee Relations Department.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing issues and suggesting solutions on Collective Bargaining.
- Collaborating on HR Employee relations topics related to collective bargaining and labor disputes.
- Providing effective approaches to handling employee and labor relations.
- Work with the departments and advocate on behalf of the company in grievance hearings and arbitrations when necessary. Responsible for researching related bargaining and grievance history.
- Participate in collective bargaining negotiations, including preparation for, logistics and works with the departments to assure the implementation of any new contractual terms or agreements.
- Maintains a consistent labor strategy across all departments. Maintains case files and bargaining history.
- Develops necessary reports and presentations, and prepares detailed spreadsheets as required and/or directed, including assisting with the departmental budget. When needed, maintain applications to enhance processes and facilitate recordkeeping within the department.
- Calculates and maintains statistics, records and information, including but not limited to lost time, grievances and discipline.
- Designs and conducts Labor Relations training for all levels of management and supervisory personnel. Maintains broad knowledge of corporate labor relations policies and training methodologies.
- Represents the Company at external forums and participates on committees as required.
- Participate in, and successfully complete, training requirements.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and concerns.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Maintain cleanliness at work-site accordance with 5S3R Standards:

- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in direct experience with a labor union consisted of hourly workers in a manufacturing industry,
- Legal knowledge of labor relations.
- Able to travel without legal restriction domestically and internationally in short notices at times to prepare and respond to any labor issues.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee relations or HR.
